PostSubject: The Death of Doctor Island   Mon Apr 14, 2008 9:00 pm

There were no posts on this story on the old board. It has many science fictional things going for it. It has a strangely beautiful artificial orbital environment. It has an advanced AI. None of the characters are entirely sane, except perhaps for Doctor Island. The world it implies is vast, coherent, but not quite our own. A number of ethical issues are raised.

But why does it begin with an ant lion?

I have moved it to the Visions of Wonder forum. Once everyone has registered, and you are comfortable with the admin tools, I won't go on admin user anymore.

Even though Dr. Island does not seem to be a very good doctor because he allows one patient to get hurt to save another, I feel like he is. Considering Nicholas has been treated for being mentally ill his whole life and this is on of the last resorts, it seems like something is actually getting to him. In this environment he seems to be acting norman even though he has little habbits. Also, maybe the other two there are just simulated and Ignacio never killed her at all.

"Also, maybe the other two there are just simulated and Ignacio never killed her at all."

An interesting theory! But perhaps wishful thinking.

I thought it was a bit confusing to read at times because the explanations for some of the things that they talk about aren't really detailed, which is part of a good quick read I guess. Eerie place to imagine though.
